It takes about three hours to visit all the venues at Contour 2011, which means you can easily visit the biennial in half a day. So there’s plenty of time for more of Mechelen.

You can reach Mechelen cheaply and greenly by train. Admission to Contour 2011 can be purchased as part of a B-excursion with NMBS (combination ticket for train plus admission to biennial).
The B-excursion can be bought at any Belgian railway station. Info can be found at www.nmbs.be.
